The TPS4030x is a cost-optimized synchronous buck controller that operates in a 3 V to 20 V input family. The controller implements a voltage-mode control architecture with input voltage feed-forward compensation that responds immediately to changes in input voltage. The switching frequency is fixed at 300 kHz, 600 kHz or 1.2 MHz.

The frequency jitter spread spectrum function increases the switching frequency, which greatly reduces the peak value of EMI noise, making it easier to comply with EMI standards.

The TPS4030x offers user-programmable features including soft-start, overcurrent protection (OCP) levels, various designs, and loop compensation.

The level of OCP may be caused by an external program from the LDRV pin to the ground resistance of the circuit.
