The TPS43330-Q1/TPS43332-Q1 includes two current-mode synchronous buck controllers and voltage-mode boost controllers. The device is ideal for preconditioning low Iq requirements and regimes, requiring a survival phase corresponding to a supply drop due to a start-up event. The integrated boost controller allows the device to operate without seeing a buck regulator output stage drop to 2V at the input. At light loads, the buck controller can automatically consume only 30μA of quiescent current operating in low-power mode.

The buck controller has an independent soft-start function and a good indicator of power supply. External MOSFET protection provides current feedback in the buck controller and a cycle-by-cycle current-limited boost controller.
