The TPS51125A is an effective dual synchronous buck controller for power supply solutions for laptops, targeting cost. It offers LDO of 5 V and 3.3 - V and requires very few external components. The 270 kHz VCLK output can be used to drive an external charge pump without reducing the efficiency of the main converter to generate a load switch for the gate drive voltage. The TPS51125A supports high efficiency, fast transient response, and provides a good signal from a joint power supply.
