The TPS51216 provides complete power supply for DDR2, DDR3 and DDR3L memory systems at the lowest total cost and in the smallest space. It integrates a 2-receiver/tracked LDO (VTT) source and buffered Low Noise Reference (VTTREF) synchronous buck regulator controller (VDDQ). The TPS51216 uses D-300 kHz/400™ kHz frequency coupling for ease of use and fast transient response. The accuracy of VDDQ/0.8% on the excellent VTTREF track is VDDQ/2. VTT, which provides 2 receiver/source peak current capability and requires only 10μF of ceramic capacitance. In addition, a dedicated LDO power input is available.

TPS51216 offers a wealth of practical functions as well as excellent power performance. It supports flexible power state control, placing in S3 in high Z VTT and VDDQ discharge in S4/S5 state, VTT and VTTRREF (soft shutdown).
