The TPS51220 is a dual synchronous buck regulator controller with 2 LDO. This technology optimizes the 5-V/3.3-V system controller, cost-effectively powering 2- to 4-cell notebook computers. The TPS51220 supports high efficiency, fast transient response and 99% duty cycle operation. It supports input voltages ranging from 4.5 V to 28 V from a 1 V supply and an output voltage of 12 five, with two control schemes to choose from depending on the type of application. Peak current mode supports stable operation with ESR capacitance and low output accuracy. The D-CAP mode supports fast transient response. High tariff (99%) operation and wide input/output voltage range support flexible small form factor mobile computer designs and a variety of other applications.
