The TPS51222 is a dual-channel synchronous buck regulator with two LDO controllers. This technology optimizes the 5-V/3.3-V system controller to cost-effectively power 2 to 4 laptops. TPS51222 supports high efficiency, fast transient response, and 99% duty cycle operation. It supports input voltage range from 4.5 V to 32 V from a 1 V supply and output voltage of 12 V, and the peak current mode supports stable operation with low ESR capacitance and output accuracy. High duty cycle (99%) operation and wide input/output voltage range support flexible small form factor mobile PC designs and a variety of other applications. Fixed frequencies can be from 200 kHz to 1 MHz resistors, and each channel operates 180° out of phase.
