TPS5124 Dual-channel synchronous step-down PWM controller

TPS5124 consists of two independent, high-efficiency synchronous buck controllers. It supports low-voltage/high-current power applications using a 5V or 12V bus voltage. Because both TPS5124 controllers operate 180-degree inverting, input current ripple is minimized, resulting in a smaller input capacitance and lower power supply costs.

The current protection circuit detects the high-side and low-side power MOSFETs on the opposite side, which is the drain-source voltage drop. Additionally, current protection circuits have a temperature coefficient to compensate for changes in the R DS(DAY) MOSFET. This resistor, with no current protection and built-in boost diodes, simplifies system design and reduces the number of external components.
