The TPS5130 consists of three independent synchronous buck regulator controllers (SBRCs) and one low dropout (LDO) regulator controller. On-chip high-side and low-side synchronous rectifier drivers are integrated into the driver's cheaper N-channel MOSFETs. The LDO controller can also drive an external N-channel MOSFET. Due to the minimized ripple of the input current, operating 180° out of phase, it allows for smaller input capacitance and reduces power supply costs. The TPS5130 SBRC automatically adjusts from PWM mode to SKIP mode to maintain high efficiency under light load conditions. Resistorless's synchronous buck controller and fixed high-side drive voltage current protection simplify system design and reduce the number of external components.
