The TPS5401 device is a 42-volt, 0.5-A, step-down, high-side MOSFET regulator with integrated high-side MOSFET. Current mode control provides easy external compensation and flexible component selection. The low-ripple pulse skip mode regulates the output voltage when the supply current is 116μA without load. Use the enable pin to reduce the power supply current to 1.3μA when the enable pin is low.

The undervoltage lockout is set internally to 2.5 volts, but the use of enable pins can be increased. The output voltage start ramp controls the slow start pin and can also be used for sort/track configurations. The good signal from the open-drain supply indicates that the output is at 94% to 107% of the rated voltage.
