The TPS54160 device is a 60-volt, 1.5-a-table with an integrated high-side MOSFET regulator. Current mode control provides easy external compensation and flexible component selection. A low-ripple pulse skip pattern reduces no-load and regulates the supply output current of 116 microamps. Using the Enable pin, the shutdown current is reduced to 1.3μA.

The undervoltage lockout is set internally to 2.5 volts, but the use of enable pins can be increased. The output voltage start ramp controls the slow start pin and can also be used for sort/track configurations. The open-drain supply has a good output signal, indicating a rated voltage of 93% to 107%.

The wide switching frequency range allows for optimized efficiency and external component size.
