This TPS54162 is a buck switching mode with a voltage monitor and an integrated NMOS field-effect transistor switching power supply. The integrated input voltage feeder topology improves the transient regulation of the voltage-mode buck regulator. The regulator has a cycle-by-cycle current limit. The device also features low-load operation conditons, reducing the power supply current to 50μA (typical value) for low-power mode operation. The EN pin is pulled to a low level, and the power supply current is reduced to 1 microamperes (typical value).

The open-leak reset signal indicates that when the output falls below the nominal reset threshold set by the external resistor voltage divider network, the signal drops. The uphill output voltage start is made by a soft-start capacitor.
