The TPS54162 is a step-down switching mode switching power supply with a voltage monitor and an integrated NMOS FET switching power supply. The integrated input voltage feeder line topology improves transient regulation of voltage mode buck regulators. The regulator has a cycle-by-cycle current limit. The device also features low-load operation conditons, which reduces supply current to 50μA (typical) for low-power mode operation. The EN pin is pulled low and the shutdown supply current is reduced to 1 microamp (typical).

The open-drain reset signal indicates that the output drops below the reset threshold set nominally by the external resistor divider network. The up-ramp output voltage start-up is made by a soft-start capacitor.
