As a member of SWIFT's ™ DC/DC regulator series, TPS5420 is a high-output current PWM converter integrating a low-impedance, high-sided N-channel MOSFET. Among the listed features and substrates are a high-performance voltage error amplifier that provides tight regulation accuracy under transient conditions; an undervoltage latching circuit to prevent start-up until the input voltage reaches 5.5 volts; an internal slow-start circuit is set to limit the inrush current; and voltage feedforward circuitry to improve transient response.
