The TPS54226 is a D-CAP2™ mode synchronous buck converter with adaptive turn-on time. TheTPS54226 enables system designers to complete a regulated power bus kit for a variety of end devices with a cost-effective, low-component-count, low-standby current solution. D-CAP2™ mode control used TPS54226 the main control cycle provides a fast transient response without the need for external compensation elements. Time control for adoption is controlled in high efficiency, supporting seamless and reduced frequency eco-mode operation in light load conditions under heavy load conditions, and PWM mode operation between frequency. The TPS54226 also features dedicated circuitry that allows devices to take output capacitors with low equivalent series resistance (ESR), such as POSCAP or SP-CAP ceramic capacitors with ultra-low ESR.
