As a family member of DC/DC regulated SWIFT, the TPS54317 low input voltage high output current synchronous buck PWM converter integrates all the necessary active ingredients. Included in the listed features with substrate is a true, high-performance, voltage-error amplifier that delivers high performance under transient conditions; an undervoltage lockout circuit to prevent start-up until the input voltage reaches 3 volts; An internal and external slow-setting boot circuit to limit inrush current, as well as a power good output processor/logic reset useful for fault signals and power sequencing.

The TPS54317 device is available in a thermally enhanced 24-pin QFN (RHF) PowerPAD package, eliminating bulky heat sinks.
