The TPS54425 is a D-CAP2 mode synchronous buck converter with adaptive turn-on time. This TPS54425 enables system designers to complete a regulated power bus kit for a wide range of end devices with a cost-effective, low-component count, low-standby current solution. D-CAP2 mode control for TPS54425 main control cycle provides a very fast transient response without the need for external compensation elements. The TPS54425 also features dedicated circuitry that allows devices to take output capacitors with low equivalent series resistance (ESR), such as POSCAP or SP-CAP ceramic capacitors with ultra-low ESR. The device operates on a VIN input of 18-V to 4.5-V. The output voltage can be set to 0.
