The TPS54425 is a D-CAP2 mode synchronous buck converter with adaptive on-time. The TPS54425 enables system designers to complete a cost-effective, low component count, low standby current solution for a regulated power bus kit for a variety of end devices. D-CAP2 mode control for the TPS54425 master control cycle provides a very fast, transient response without external compensation components. The TPS54425 also features dedicated circuitry that enables devices to adopt low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors, such as POSCAP or SP-CAP ceramic capacitors with ultra-low ESR. The device operates from an 18-V VIN input to 4.5 - V. The output voltage can be set to 0.
