TPS54429 is a D-CAP2 mode synchronous step-down converter with adaptive turn-on time. TPS54429 helps system designers complete power bus regulator sets for a wide range of end devices with low-cost, low-component count low-standby current solutions. The D-CAP2 mode control of the TPS54429's main control loop enables extremely fast transient response without the need for external compensation components. In addition, the proprietary current of the TPS54429 helps the device adapt to POSCAP or Superintendent, Low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) output capacitors, and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The device operates from a wide range of input voltages between 7 volts and 18 volts. The output voltage can be programmed between 0.76 V and 5.5 volts. In addition, the device supports adjustable soft-start time and power-good features. TPS54429 is available in a 14-pin HTSSOP package and supports a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to 85°C.
