This TPS54521 is a fully functional 17V, 5-amp buck converter, optimized through high efficiency and integrated high-side and low-side MOSFET synchronous buck design. Further space savings are achieved through current mode control, resulting in a reduction and the selection of high switching frequencies reduces the number of inductor footprint components.

The output voltage starts the ramp-controlled SS/sail pin, allowing it to operate either as a stand-alone power supply or as a track. Power sequencing can also be done by correctly configuring the start and open drain power pins.

The protection device is limited by the periodic current to the high side FET period, and the low current is limited by the purchaser to prevent the increase of current runaway.
