The TPS54550 is a mid-output current synchronous step-down PWM converter with an integrated high-side MOSFET and a low-side gate drive external MOSFET. Features include a high-performance voltage error amplifier that enables transient conditions and selective output filtering inductors and capacitors for maximum flexibility in performance. The TPS54550 has an undervoltage latch circuit that prevents start-up until the input voltage reaches 4.5 volts; A slow start circuit to limit the inrush current, and a good power supply to indicate effective output conditions. The synchronization function is not configured as an input or output to facilitate 180° out-of-phase synchronization.

The TPS54550 device uses a thermally enhanced 16-pin TSSOP (Works) PowerPAD™ package.
