The TPS55332 is a voltage regulator for a monolithic high-voltage switch integrated 3-A, 60 V power MOSFET. The device can be configured as a switch-mode boost and voltage monitor power supply. Once the internal circuitry has a stable input voltage of 3.6 V, the system can maintain a fixed boost output voltage in the range of 40 volts from an input voltage of 1.5 V. For optimal performance, the VIN/output voltage ratio should be set to a minimum required equal duty cycle pulse of 150 nanoseconds. The supervisor monitors the regulated output circuit and indicates that when this output voltage drops below the set value. The TPS55332 has a switching frequency range from 80 kHz to 2.2 MHz, allowing for flat inductors and low-value-added input and output capacitors.
