The TPS6012x boost, regulated charge pump produces an output voltage from 1.8-V to 3.3 V or 3-V ± 4% to 3.6 V input voltage (two alkaline, nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride batteries or). They can provide output currents above 200 mA (100 mA TPS60122 and TPS60123) from 2-V input. The 4 external capacitors are required to build a complete high-efficiency DC/DC charge pump converter. For high efficiency over a wide input voltage range, the charge pump automatically selects a conversion mode between 1.5x or 1.5x. From the 2-V input, all chips can be started with full load current.

These devices feature a power-saving pulse hopping mode at light loads, extending battery life. TPS60120, TPS60122 and TPS60124 include low battery comparisons.
