The TPS6012x boost-regulated charge pump generates an output voltage of 3.6 V from 1.8 V to 3.3 V or 3 ±to V to 4% of the output voltage (either alkaline, NiCm, NiMH or two cells). They can provide output currents above 200 mA (100 mA for TPS60122 and TPS60123) from 2-V inputs all. Four external capacitors are required to establish a complete high efficiency DC/DC charge pump converter. To achieve high efficiency over a wide input voltage range, the charge pump automatically selects a conversion mode between 1.5x or multiplex. From the 2-V input, all chips can start with full load current.
These devices feature power-saving pulse-skipping modes at light loads, extending battery life. TPS60120, TPS60122 and TPS60124 include low battery comparisons.
