The TPS6020x boost, regulated charge pump generates an output voltage from 1.8-V to 3.3-V ± 4% of the input voltage is 3.6 V. These devices are typically made up of two alkaline batteries, nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride batteries and operate a continuous output current that can be reduced to 1.6 V with a minimum supply voltage of 100 mA TPS60200 and TPS60201 for TPS60202 and TPS60203, all 50 mA minimum from 2-V input. Only 4 external capacitors are required to build a complete low-ripple DC/DC converter. The push-pull two-ended single-ended charge pump operating mode ensures that low output voltage ripple is continuously transferred to the output for flow.

These devices work in the newly developed LinSkip mode. In this operating mode, the device switches seamlessly from the savings pulse skip mode at a constant frequency at light load, low noise, and linear regulation mode once the output current exceeds the LinSkip threshold power of 7 mA.
