The TPS6020x boost, regulated charge pump generates an output voltage from 1.8-V to 3.3-V ± 4% of the input voltage is 3.6 V. These devices are typically made up of two alkaline batteries, nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and can operate with a continuous output current of 1.6 V with a minimum supply voltage of 2 V and an input voltage of 100 mA. Only 4 external capacitors are required to build a complete low-ripple DC/DC converter. The push-pull single-ended charge pump operating mode guarantees low output voltage ripple, as it is currently being continuously transferred to the output.

These devices work in the newly developed LinSkip mode. In this operating mode, the device switches seamlessly from the savings pulse skip mode at a constant frequency at light load, low noise, and linear regulation mode once the output current exceeds about 7 mA of LinSkip minimum power.
