The TPS6101x device is a probo-boost converter for systems typically powered by single or two-cell nickel-cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), or alkaline batteries.

The converter output voltage can be adjusted to 1.5 V to 3.3 V maximum, maximized by an external resistor divider, or fixed inside the chip. These devices provide a supply voltage of only 0.9 V and remain at full load with the supply voltage
