The TPS61060/61/62 is a high-frequency, constant current output synchronous boost converter that drives up to five white LEDs. For maximum safety, the device features integrated overvoltage and advanced short-circuit protection when the output is shorted to ground. The device features a fixed switching frequency of 1 MHz, allowing the use of small external components and simplifying potential EMI issues. This device allows for lower voltage levels and is inexpensive, with three different output capacitor overvoltage protection thresholds (14 V/18 and V/23 V). The LED current is preliminarily established with an external detection resistor R and feedback voltage adjusted to 500 mV or 250 mV, depending on the ILED pin configuration.
