The TPS61093 is a highly integrated and reliable design for a 1.2 MHz fixed-frequency boost converter. The IC integrates a 20-V power switch, input/output disconnector, and power diode. When the output current exceeds the overload limit, the IC's disconnector opens, disconnecting from the input and output. This protects the IC and power inputs. The disconnector disconnects from the shutdown input and output process to minimize leakage current. When the IC shuts down, the output capacitor is discharged to a low voltage level by the internal diode. Other protection features include 1.1-A peak overcurrent protection per cycle (OCP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO).
