The TPS6120x device provides a power solution for products powered by one single-cell, two-cell, or three-cell alkaline, nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride battery, or a single lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. It can also be used in fuel cell or solar cell-powered devices, such as the ability to handle low input voltages, where the ability to handle them is essential. The possible output current depends on the output voltage ratio input. These devices provide an output current of 600 mA at 5-V while using a single Li-ion or Li-polymer battery and releasing it to a 2.5 V boost converter is based on a fixed frequency, pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller using synchronous rectification technology for maximum benefit.
