The TPS6124x device is a high-efficiency DC-DC converter synchronization step optimized for products powered by a three-cell alkaline, nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride battery, or a single lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. The TPS6124x supports output currents up to 450 mAh. The TPS61240 has a valley with an input current limit of 500mA, while TPS61241 has a valley with an input current of 600mA.

With devices in the input voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V support and extended voltage range batteries, it is ideal for portable applications such as mobile phones and other portable device power supplies. The TPS6124x boost converter is based on a quasi-constant on-time trough current mode control scheme.

The TPS6124x proposes a high impedance V OUT pin when it is off.
