The TPS61252 features a 3.5MHz, 1.5A, 92% high efficiency boost converter with adjustable input current limit

The TPS61252 device provides a power solution powered by a three-cell alkaline, NiCd or NiMH battery, or a single Li-Ion or Li-Polymer battery. The wide input voltage range is ideal for portable applications such as power supplies for mobile phones or computer peripherals. The device has programmable resistors (trademarkedILIM)Input current is limited and suitable for a wide range of applications.

At light loads, the device automatically enters a skip cycle mode (PFM), allowing the converter to maintain the desired output voltage while drawing only 30μA of the battery. This will allow the lowest quiescent current with the highest efficiency.
