The TPS61252 device provides a power solution for products powered by a three-cell alkaline, nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride battery, or a single lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. A wide input voltage range is ideal for portable applications such as mobile phone or computer peripheral power supplies. The device has a programmable resistor (registered trademark ILIM) input current limit and is suitable for a wide range of applications.

At light loads, the device will automatically enter Skip Cycle Mode (PFM), allowing the converter to maintain the desired output voltage while drawing only 30μA of the battery. This will allow for the lowest quiescent current, highest efficiency.
