The TPS6755 is an adjustable reverse DC/DC converter that requires only 2.7 V of low external component capability from operation to one inductor, one output filter capacitor, input filter capacitor, filter capacitor reference, two resistors and one Schottky rectifier. The enable input supplied to the output voltage when the inverter is turned off is not required. The typical supply current is 1.9 mA no-load and further reduced to 1 uA when the enable input is low.

The device features a 160 kHz current-mode pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller and a P-channel MOSFET power switch. The gate driver uses the output of the converter to reduce die area and achieve the required 0.4 - MOSFETs. Soft-start is complete, with a small SS capacitor increasing.
