TPS7A3501 is a positive voltage, low noise
(3.8μVRMS) power filter, which is capable of providing a 1A load for quiet power solutions. Power filters such as TPS7A3501 provide efficient voltage regulation (low insertion loss) on the input and output terminals, as well as power supply rejection. This device is ideal for noise filters for 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V supplies up to 1A.
With a single external resistor, the input-output voltage regulation is also user-programmable and ranges from 200mV to 500mV. If a resistor is not used, the TPS7A3501 provides 330mV input-to-output voltage regulation. The device is stable when operating with 10μF input and output ceramic capacitors and a 10nF noise-canceling ceramic capacitor.
TPS7A3501 Fully rated for operation over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The device is available in a low-thermal resistance, 2mm x 2mm SON-6 package. Unlike passive filters, TPS7A3501 provide overheat protection and current protection for itself and surrounding circuitry.
