Description/Ordering Information

The TRS3237E consists of five line drivers, a three-wire receiver, and a dual charge pump with ± 15-kV ESD protection PIN-to-PIN (serial port connection pin, including ground) circuitry. The device meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and provides an electrical interface between the asynchronous communication controller and the serial port connector. A charge pump and four small external capacitors allow operation from a single 3 V supply to 5.5 V. The device operates in data signal rate of 250 kilobits/s mode in normal operation (MBd=GND) and 1Mbit/s when MBd=_VCC's. The driver output slew rate is a maximum of 30 V/μs.

The transmitter is disabled for TRS3237E and the output is forced to a high impedance state when the device is in shutdown mode（SHDN= GND and supply current reduced to less than 1μA.
