Description/Ordering Information

The TRS3253E is a three-driver and five-receiver RS-232 interface device that separates the power pins from mixed-signal services. All RS-232 input and output protection, ± 8 kV using IEC 61000-4-2 air-gapped discharge method, ± 8 kV using IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge method and ± 15 kV using man, body models.

The charge pump requires only four small operating capacitors from a 3.3 V supply voltage to 0.1μF. The TRS3253E is the ability to operate at data transfer rates of up to 1000 kbps while maintaining RS-232 compatible output levels.

The TRS3253E has a unique V L pin that allows the system to operate at a mixed logic voltage. The two-level driver (DIN) and receiver output (ROUT) pin programmable logic is via V-L. This eliminates the need for additional voltage level translators when interfacing with low-voltage microcontrollers or UARTs. The TRS3253E is available in space-saving QFN packages (4 mm × 4 mm Salvia).

Auto Power Off Plus can be disabled when FORCEON and FORCEOFF are high. With automatic power-off plus enablement, the device automatically activates a valid signal receiver when or works with any driver input. Invalid High (Valid Data) if any receiver input voltage is greater than 2.7 V or less than -2.7 volts, or has less than -0.3 V or 0.3 V for less than 30 microseconds. Invalid is low (invalid data) if all receiver input voltages are 0.3 to -0.3 V or more than 30 microseconds V. Please refer to the receiver input level.
