TSL2560T Ambient light sensor

 

 

 

Overview:
TSL2560 is an optical to digital converter that changes the digital signal output capability of the SMBus (TSL2560) interface for light intensity. TSL2560 combines a broadband photodiode (visible plus infrared) and an infrared photodiode response in a single CMOS IC capable of providing an effective 20-bit dynamic range myphotopic response (16-bit resolution). Two integrated ADCs convert to digital outputs that represent the current of the radiation measurement photodiode on each channel. This digital output can be fed into a microprocessor to approximate the human eye response using the empirical formula of lux illuminance (ambient light level). TSL2560 device allows style breaks for SMB reminders.
