TSL2563FN   Ambient Light Sensor (ALS)

Overview:
TSL2563 is a low-supply voltage-varying light-to-digital converter capable of direct I²C interface digital signal output. The device combines a wideband photodiode (visible plus infrared) and an infrared-responsive single CMOS IC to provide an effective 20-bit dynamic range (16-bit resolution) near bright-vision response photodiode. Two integrated ADCs convert to digital outputs that represent the current of the radiation measurement photodiode on each channel. This digital output can be fed into a microprocessor to approximate the human eye response using the empirical formula of lux illuminance (ambient light level). The TSL2563 device supports traditional horizontal style interruptions that remain active until the firmware clears it.
