TSL2671 Proximity detection

Overview:
TSL2671 family of devices offers a complete proximity detection system in a single 6-pin package with digital interface logic. The device includes a digital LED with an external infrared proximity sensor required for the integrated LED driver. The proximity function provides a wide range of performance, with 4 programmable LEDs driving current and a pulse repetition frequency range of 1 to 32 pulses. The proximity detection circuit compensates for ambient light, allowing it to operate from bright sunlight, dark room environments. This wide dynamic range can also be operated in short-range detection applications, such as mobile phones, behind dark glass. The internal state machine provides the ability of devices to put into low-power mode with very low average power consumption.
