Overview:
The TSL2671 family of devices offers a complete proximity detection system in a single 6-pin package and digital interface logic. The device includes an LED with a digital and external infrared proximity sensor required for an integrated LED driver. The proximity function provides a wide range of performance with 4 programmable LED drive currents and pulse repetition frequency ranges from 1 to 32 pulses. Proximity detection circuits compensate for ambient light, allowing it to operate from bright sunlight to dark room environments. This wide dynamic range can also be operated behind dark glass in short-range detection applications, such as mobile phones. Internal state machines provide the ability for very low average power consumption devices to put into low-power modes. Product Features:
