This fixed negative voltage IC regulator family is designed to fit in a wide range of applications in the μA7900 series. These applications include noise cancellation, regulatory and distribution issues related to single-point regulation on the card. These regulators can deliver up to 1.5 output current. Internal current limiting and thermal shutdown make these regulators essentially overload-proof. In addition to being used as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be used to derive adjustable output voltages and currents with external components and as precision regulated power pass elements.
