This family of fixed negative voltage integrated circuit regulators is designed to work with the μA7900 in a wide range of applications. These applications include single-point adjustment on the card, related noise cancellation, regulation, and dispensing issues. These regulators provide up to 1.5 output current. Internal current limiting and thermal shutdown functions, these regulators essentially protect them from overloads. In addition to being used as a fixed voltage regulator, these devices can be used to obtain adjustable output voltages and currents with external components and as precision-regulated power pass elements.
