The pulse width modulator UC1525B/1527B series of integrated circuits is designed to provide higher performance and reduce the number of external components in the design of switching power supplies for all types of use. The on-chip 5.1 V reference buried Zener trimmed to ± 0.75% and the input common-mode error amplifier ranges from the reference voltage without the need for external resistors. Synchronizing the input to the oscillator allows multiple units to be synchronized to an external system clock as slave or one unit. Between CT and a resistor discharge termination, a dead time adjustment range is provided. These devices also have built-in soft-start and only one external timing circuit capacitance requirement.
