• Product introduction

The purpose of driving these two families at high speeds is to provide complementary switching drive waveforms. Synchronous rectification circuits and active clamp/reset circuits commonly used in complementary switching configurations provide zero-voltage switching. To facilitate soft-switching transitions, these drivers are provided on a separate programmable delay output waveform between the two. The delay pin also features true zero-voltage detection, allowing the application to start immediately when the corresponding switch is zero-voltage. These devices require a PWM-type input operation that interfaces with popular PWM controllers.

In the UC1714 series, the auxiliary output allows driving down a P-channel MOSFET.
