The pulse width modulator IC UC1525A/1527A series is designed to provide higher performance and reduce the number of external components in the design of switching power supplies for all types of use. The on-chip 5.1 V reference needs to be trimmed to ± 1%, and the range of the input common-mode error amplifier includes the reference voltage without the need for external resistors. Synchronizing the input to the oscillator allows multiple units to be synchronized to an external system clock as slave or one unit. A single resistor between CT and discharge termination provides a dead time adjustment range. These devices also have built-in soft-start and only one external timing circuit capacitance requirement.
