The device is a monolithic integrated circuit design that provides high-current, low-saturation voltage switching from a low-level logic signal to initiate voltage. The source and sink switches can start independently, regardless of whether they are interlocked as a built-in receiver and will continue to shut down if the source is at the right time.

This driver has high current drive capability, fast rise and fall times for large capacitive loads, but with high-speed internal flyback diodes, it is also ideal for inductive loads. The two UC2950s can be used together to form a full-bridge, bipolar motor driver with high-frequency chopper current control compatible.
