In regulated PWM ICs UC1524A the family has been designed to retain the same highly general-purpose industry (SG1524) as it offers many of the limitations of the standard UC1524 architecture. The pins of the UC1524A are interchangeable with "non-armor" mode and are directly interchangeable with power performance in most existing applications. Using UC1524A, however, frees up designers who often need additional circuitry to solve many problems.

The UC1524A includes an accurate 5V reference voltage fine-tuned to ± 1% accuracy, eliminating the need for potentiometer adjustments, and an input range with 5V that includes an error amplifier, thus eliminating the need for a reference crossover; The current sense amplifier is useful whether on the ground or on the power output line; And a 60V pair, 200 mAh unsubmitted transistor switch, greatly increases the versatility of the output.
