The UC1842/3/4/5 family provides the necessary features to achieve a fixed-frequency current mode control scheme with a minimum number of external components, either off-line or DC-to-DC. The internal implementation circuitry includes undervoltage lockout with a start-up current of less than 1 mA, a precise reference accuracy fine-tuning at the input of the error amplifier, logic registration to ensure lockout operation, PWM comparator, while providing current limit control, and a high peak current current of the source or sink of the totem pole output stage design. The output stage, driving N-channel MOSFETs are suitable for low off.

The difference between this family member is the undervoltage lockout threshold and the maximum duty cycle range.
