Product Introduction

The UC1852 provides a low-cost solution for systems that would otherwise draw on the high pulse peak current of AC power lines with active power factor correction (PFC). The circuit implements zero-current switching Boost conversion, which produces a sinusoidal input current with minimal external components while maintaining peak current significantly lower than that of a fully continuous converter.

The UC1852 provides time to control the output DC voltage large capacity, the break time is defined by the step-up inductor, the zero current detection circuit, and the restart switching period switch. Even if the two switching frequencies change instantaneously with the load and line voltage, it can remain within a reasonable range to minimize noise generation.
