UCC28070 is an advanced power factor correction device that integrates two pulse-width modulators (PWM) operating phases 180°. This interleaved PWM operation greatly reduces the input and output ripple currents and makes EMI filtering easier and cheaper. A significantly improved multiplier design provides a common reference current to ensure that two independent two PWM outputs match the average current mode to control the current amplifier while maintaining a stable, low-distortion sinusoidal input current.

Including current UCC28070 contains synthetic and quantized voltage feedforward to facilitate multiple innovations in PF, efficiency, total harmonic distortion performance enhancement and transient response.
