UCC28230, the UCC28231 PWM bus controller optimizes a high-efficiency, high-power-density, unregulated intermediate bus converter. Topologies include push-pull, half-bridge, and full-bridge. External drivers, so asthe UCC27200 120-V high-side/low-side drivers, can use the controller.
Low-cost, small-size, and high-efficiency solutions are provided by innovations such as:
- Activation frequency control circuitry allows small output inductance changes and capacities to start large intermediate bus capacitors.
- Load dependent shutdown time control is set by the user.
Other 1-D control outputs can be used for main winding self-driving synchronous rectification outputs, applied clamping, or as a control drive synchronous rectification drive signal.
