In UCC2897, PWM controllers simplify the implementation of a variety of active clamping/reset and synchronous rectified switching power supply topologies.

Based on UCC2891 active clamping controller UCC2897 is a peak current mode, fixed frequency, high performance pulse width modulator. It includes the driving capability of logic and critical delay auxiliary switches for easy operation for P-channel and appropriately programmed active clamping.

Its features include an internal programmable slope compensation circuit, precise D maximum limit, and a synchronized oscillator timing capacitor inside it. Accurate online monitoring function also plans the large capacity input voltage in terms of switching on and off the converter.
