The UCC38083/4/5/6 is a family of BiCMOS pulse-width modulated (PWM) DC-to-DC or offline fixed-frequency current mode switching power supply controllers. This dual output stage is configured for a push-pull topology. Half of the oscillators of the two output switches use the frequency of a switching trigger. The dead time between the two outputs is typically 110 nanoseconds, limiting the duty cycle of each output to less than 50%.

The new UCC3808x family is based on the UCC3808A architecture. Key differences include a programmable slope compensation ramp to the CS signal and the addition of error amplifiers. The ISET pin now flows out through an external resistor to set the severity of the ramp compensation function monitored internally.
