The economical BCDMOS and other low power integrated circuits UCC3809 series contain all control and drive circuitry for off-line requirements and isolated DC-to-DC fixed-frequency current mode switching with minimal external component count power supplies. The internal implementation undervoltage lockout circuit includes a user-accessible voltage reference with a start-up current of less than 100μA, logic to ensure lockout operation, PWM comparator, totem pole output, and a stage that sinks or supplies peak current. Output stage, driving N-channel MOSFETs suitable for low off.

The oscillator frequency and maximum duty cycle are programmed with two resistors and one capacitor. The UCC3809 series also features a full-cycle soft-start.
