Product Introduction

The UCC3884 is a high-performance current-mode PWM controller intendedfor single-ended switching power supply. The chip implements a frequency foldback plan that reduces the oscillator frequency and the output voltage drops below the setpoint. This technology reduces the average output current into a low-impedance load, which can occur at the source of output short-circuit or overload conditions. Excessive short-circuit current converters, more in high frequency propagation delay, switch shutdown time forced to reach the minimum duty cycle. Accurate volt-second clamping limits line or load transient conditions that can otherwise saturate the transformer's duty cycle.
